Kinesiotaping

Dr. Eden MacGregor is certified in the Fundamentals of Kinesiotaping and Advanced Kinesiotaping. Kinesiotape is a therapeutic elastic tape which is used for several different purposes, including – enhancing blood flow and lymphatic drainage, assisting muscle contractions and reducing muscle spasms as well as providing mechanical correction.

Kinesiotape is a modality that enhances the function of many different tissues and physiologic systems.  It can also be applied and worn for extended periods for continued therapeutic benefit between clinical visits.

Here are a few examples of conditions which we might use kinesiotape for;

  • Tennis elbow
  • Lower back pain
  • Rotator cuff imbalances and shoulder pain
  • Shin splints
  • Active trigger points
  • Contusions
  • Swelling

Kinesiotape is constructed of 100% cotton and elastic fibers. The tape’s adhesive is 100% medical grade, acrylic, and heat-activated. There is no medication in the tape, and it is latex free.
